ETIQUETTE AND MANNERS
Our first impressions of a man are impressions of his manners. We label from the first sight of his face, the first sound of his voice, either as a pleasant and sincere individual, or as a person with whom we would not want to collaborate.
We are attracted to him or we find him repulsive, according to the characteristics he displayed in his manners.
The charm of good manners is not a qualification that belongs to a certain lifestyle, because there can be people without extraordinary financial possibilities, or people who have not studied very much and yet be gentle and polite.
Education, wealth and social status do not necessarily provide good manners, external grace can be acquired through all.
Good manners are more useful than a passport, than a bank account, than belonging to a high-ranking family. They help us make friends, they create bonds.
A person with good manners shows respect for the feelings of others living around. He/she never differentiates people and shows equal consideration to all. Modesty, humility, kindness and politeness are the essential traits of a person who is well-bred.
It is important to remember that etiquette is not equivalent to good manners.
Etiquette is a code of conduct that reflects social norms and expectations about how to behave in social situations. There are different types of etiquette: social etiquette, which is the code of polite behavior in the public environment, and netiquette, which is the etiquette for sending emails and presenting ourselves online.
